Most people drink coffee either black or simply with sugar or cream or both. There are really not many choices left for you. Well, if you have the money to spend, you might rely on the Starbucks coffee shop just around the corner and enjoy their coffee menu. But what if you’re trying to save money? Or what if you simply want to stay at home and curl up in your bed with a cup of coffee?
The most important thing is to start with a good coffee maker. These are some coffee recipes that will give you a whole new coffee experience right in your own home. There are the classic coffee recipes such as espresso, cappuccino, macchiato, and mocha. Spicing these up just a bit will open a whole new world of coffee flavors to you.
- Amaretto coffee. Who would have thought that almond would taste so good in coffee? Use your coffee to spice up amaretto, or amaretto to spice up your coffee; either way, it’s a winner. They just go together so well! Add amaretto; first with one tablespoon and then to taste to black coffee.
- Espresso Martini. This is another liquor-coffee infusion. Vodka in your coffee will add a little kick. Start with a cup of espresso; add kahlua, crème de cacao, and vodka according to your taste. Cold is the only way to serve it.
- Mexican mocha is a little exotic. This recipe will give your senses an infusion of spice. In your cup of black coffee add 1 teaspoon of chocolate syrup, 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, and whipped cream. Enjoying this hot beverage is satisfying and relaxing.
- Coffee float is the coffee version of the root beer float. This could be a kid-friendly recipe, just remember to use decaf. First, make your coffee as usual and then add sugar and cream; chill. Add ice cream when served.
- Orange coffee. Fruits and coffee go well. If you want that tang in your coffee, try putting oranges or even lemon in your cup or mug. Add 1 cup of hot chocolate to 1 cup of coffee. Put an orange slice in each cup. You may choose to top it off with whipped cream and cinnamon.
- Tiramisu. This is the best option for you if you are not a coffee drinker but just want to have your regular coffee fix. This coffee-based dessert has a taste that won’t quit and a texture that is to die for.
